The Summer Scholars pre-college program at Regis is designed specifically for rising high school juniors and seniors to immerse themselves intellectually and socially in two academic courses as they prepare for the college experience.
Students spend three full weeks living on campus, meeting new friends, and taking two college level courses. Reading, Thinking and Writing (ENG 105) is required of all students. For the second elective course, students will choose from Introduction to Psychology (PS 203), Introduction to Sports Management (SMT 216), Introduction to Criminal Justice (CJ 100), or Interdependence of Health Care Professions in the U.S. (ID 230).
Social programming will include excursions in and around Boston. Outside of the coursework, students will engage in a Student Success Workshop, a series of hands-on workshops on applying to and preparing for college. Upon completing the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and an official Regis College Transcript reflecting their six earned credits.
